Initial and Later Reasons

Initially, Conor Grennan was bored of his life and his work so he thought about traveling around the world. But, that was a bad idea to think about himself and his family and friends also thought that he is selfish if he thinks in this way. So, he thought that he has to do something good and he came up with an idea which is to be a volunteer. He found that Nepal is the best place to be volunteer at an orphanage. He chose this way to travel and to make his family and friends feel proud of him.

At the beginning, he did not realize that he would stay for a long time in Nepal but, after  while of being with children he felt that children need him to get their rights and it was not easy for him to leave them forever. After that, he decided to continue his plan to Thailand, but he promised children he will come back after one year.  

When comparing Coner’s initial reasons with his later reasons they are different. In his initial reasons he was just want to be  a volunteer to make his family and friends feel proud of him. But, in his later reasons after  while of being with children he felt that he cannot leave them, because of the questions that children asked him and he felt he has another family in the little princes orphanage.
